The History of Dracula

10-29-07

You might think vampires are the bad guys. You’ve probably also heard of the story of Dracula, right? Well, they didn’t tell you the true story. It’s TOTALLY different. First of all, Dracula doesn’t know his true powers in the beginning. Also, I, Dracula’s vampire princess, Sarabella (of which they got my name wrong if they even mentioned it at all) was the experiment to see if his powers would work.
So, one night he bit into my neck while I was sleeping. Supposedly, I became his “vampire princess”. After about five months, our so called “relationship” started to go down the drain. We ended up getting in a HUGE fight and he made me leave before I had a chance to get my stuff. I felt like screaming my head off because of him! In order to get my stuff back, I had to sneak in. So, two nights later I did. He caught me when I was leaving about half way down the stairs.
What he didn’t know was that I took a potion to change me back into a mortal. So he chased me upstairs and I led him to the room his coffin was in. Right before he caught and bit my neck with his bloodstained fangs, I slammed him into his coffin, locked it, got my stuff that had fallen down the stairs when Dracula had started to chase me, and ran out. From outside the mansion I could hear him yelling, “Sarabella, wait, you are making a big mistake! I love you! Let me out please!” I replied with, “Why should I? You can just use your vampire powers…Oh wait, those won’t work will they…Oh well, not my problem.” Then I walked off into the moonlight and I never saw Dracula again. That’s how the REAL Dracula went.

  1. I still think this is a cute short story. I'm curious as to how you would write it if you rewrote it now.
